Applications for mouse molecular cytogenetic technologies include: mouse modeling of genetic instability syndromes, identification of somatic chromosomal aberrations in pre-neoplastic and tumor cells, analyses of skin, neuronal and embryonic stem cells critical to development of future cell-based clinical interventions, localization of transgenic genome inserts, and quality control of ES cell lines for genome modification. Our objective is to provide CGDN and other Canadian researchers with economical access to a full complement of cytogenetic and genomic approaches tailored to their research problem with a high standard of quality.
Investigators supply healthy cultured cells suitable for colcemid arrest and fixation within 24 hours of receipt, and will be notified when images have been collected and chromosomes identified. |
