BIOTECHNOLOGY ENGINEEER

The MGHRI Genome Centre is located at the Montreal General Hospital Research Institute, which is affiliated with the McGill University Health Centre.

Description:

The candidate will have a leadership role in implementing several new robotic platforms in a high-throughput genotyping and sequencing laboratory. Responsibilities will include the maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of a new line of laboratory workstations. The candidate will optimize molecular biology protocols that will be performed by the instruments. The candidate will develop strategies to adapt additional molecular biology protocols onto robotic workstations.

Requirements
  • Dual background in Engineering and Genetics.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years laboratory experience in biotechnology.
  • Knowledge of PCR and genotyping.

    • Salary Range $40-50,000 (dependant on qualifications).

    Conditions One year temporary full-time position, 40 hours/week
